BACF is brought to you by the same team who worked on BAP  Bulgarian Aid Project in Bulgaria from 1994 to 2007, when Bulgaria joined the European Union.

Whereas Bulgarian Aid Project focused on specific issues relating to Social Care Homes in Bulgaria, BACF, a charitable foundation registered in Sofia, Bulgaria,  acts as a purely advisory and consultative service for local NGOs. It does not have its own specific projects, but is designed to help local projects get off the ground by, for instance, putting them in touch with other European organisations working in the same field, helping with applying for EU funding and helping with resolving human and material conflicts within NGOs themselves.

The Crossover

Even though the material needs of the people in the Social Care Homes has improved considerably there is still a lot to be done. For instance - visiting. Yes, women in Lakatnik just do not have visitors!

So, the first project of BACF was, in cooperation with the International Women Club of Sofia, to arrange a visit to the home in September 2009
